This copy of Rembrandt‘s The Night Watch shows some details which had been clipped when the immense painting was moved from banquet hall of the Amsterdam Archers Guild to amsterdam City Hall in 1715. While the original painting had the impressive dimensions of 402 cm × 510 cm, the original has now 363 cm × 437 cm. Otherwise, it wouldn’t have fit into Amsterdam’s City Hall.
